Description

It is a yellow-green fig with an interior that ranges from light red to amber. It has a mild and sweet flavor which makes it perfect for eating as a snack or adding to salads, confections and other dishes. Figs ripen in June on and often again in August.

Our Figs are sun dried whenever possible, But if the fruit needs more drying or if it rains during drying, packers will use dryers.  Heat with fans.

Figs do what is called “sugaring” the natural fruit sugar comes out and it looks like they have white powder on them. This is normal and also happens with dates as well.  Many look at this white powder and think the figs are spoiled, when in fact they are not.

Storage: Easily kept for reasonable periods of time. Best if kept in an air tight container at a maximum temperature of 45 degrees F (7 degrees C). It is a good idea to use fig stocks within 6 months because they may tend to sugar and darken in color (this is a natural process).

*Not processed with oat flour and they are not processed on the same lines that oat flour is used on.
